Bucket List

Hey everyone...I hope everything is going well with you and yours! I have been so incredibly busy lately at work, and so many blog ideas have popped into my head! I've seen and done a lot these last few months, but I haven't had time to get out here and put them "on paper".

This blog entry however could not be missed...and it has 2 parts:

Part 1 starts about 5 years ago. I decided I wanted to take a trip to Atlantic City, NJ to hits the casinos for the weekend. Anyone who knew me at this time knows that I HATED driving long distances, though with 5 twenty-hour cross-country trips under my belt over the last 7 months you wouldn't believe it...HELL, I don't believe it...but, I digress.

So, I invite my two cousins Matty-P and JAW to go along for the ride. Matty-P was old enough to gamble, so his intentions of going were the same as mine. JAW however was under 21 (19 at the time, I believe). JAW, who loved to drive, offered to "help" drive (he did a majority of it). He wanted to hit the clubs in AC. We both figured they were like the clubs here, as long as you were over 18 you could get in, just not drink.

SADLY, that was not the case. JAW was stuck entertaining the two losers that Matty-P and I were dating at the time that WE were stupid enough to bring along. I felt really bad for him...I know that it wasn't the good time he was expecting.

On the drive back, of which again JAW drove most of the way, I told him that when he was over 21 and saved enough money to enjoy himself, I would take him to Vegas.

Part 2 is where the name of this blog is explained. I have been to Vegas twice in my life. Once I went with the same bimbo from AC, the other time I left a different bimbo at home and went with some friends. Needless to say I have NEVER been to Vegas SINGLE! I am a faithful person, but I always wanted to experience "Sin City" with NO females on my brain. There were several times over the last 10 years where I thought this would never happen...

HOWEVER...last year JAW landed a great job, saved up some $$$, and had some vacation time saved up. And some folks may not think highly of me, but there are two thing that are true of me: 1. I say exactly what I think. Don't like the truth, DON'T ask! 2. I am a MAN of my WORD. So, about two months ago I booked JAW and myself plane tickets to Vegas baby!!!

He will be flying from Columbus and I will be flying from Austin. We'll both be at the airport within 30 minutes of each other. This will be his first time to Vegas and honestly this feels like it's going to be my FIRST time too!

I have never been to Vegas SINGLE or with another single guy. I usually traveled there with my married friends, which was fine when I was dating someone, but for THIS trip JR has nothing and no one holding him back!

I am so fortunate to be able to cross "Go to Vegas SINGLE!!!" off of my "Bucket List". There were times in my life where I envisioned that only happening after a horrible marriage and divorce...thank God he was looking out for me!!!

JAW - I'm hoping you're ready to experience Vegas buddy! We both have LOTS to see and experience. And remember, "What happens in Vegas..." yeah, you know the rest!!!
