T.G.I.F.
Thank Goodness it's Friday! This has been a long week at work. My team leader was off Thursday and today, so it did reduce the stress some what. I went out last night - the normal Thursday night at the Eagles. Usually our time there ends around 10:00-10:30. For some reason, be it the beer or good company, Big Red, Brian, and myself hung around much longer than normal. I knew is was getting late when I saw Obama on the Tonight Show. I called it a night around 12:30, and after tying up some lose ends (Nikkis stuff) I crawled into bed around 1 am. Back up for work at 5:30 - it's going to be a LONG day! But - I see a nap in my future! Needless to say I'm excited. Plus this weekend Nikki is getting all of her stuff out of the house. It will feel good to have it completely to myself again. This has been a long and drawn out process. I appreciate all the friends that I have vented my frustration or sought advice from. It's FINALLY over!!! Well tonight brings another poker game - this time I'm hosting this one. It will be at the Eagles at 7:30. If you have nothing to do, come hang out - or play! I'm really hoping we get over 35 players for this tourney. Typically we have had this event on Sunday afternoons, which I think has always kept the numbers low. I was able to get it moved to Friday for this month, so let's hope the numbers improve. Well, enough rambling.... Have a great weekend! Thanks for reading.

Weekend recap
Well the weekend started out like most these days - A poker game was scheduled. Went home Friday and snuck a nap in before heading over to the Yanoks at 7:30 for a double dose of tournament poker. I can say that my patience with tourneys is starting to wear thin. I think I need to take a break from tourneys. So I dumped $60 and I didn't get home until after 3:15. Steve needed a ride and oddly enough he was doing very well in the 2nd tourney. The next day I barely did anything at all! And nor did I want to. Around 4 Big Red called and said her and Brian wanted to go grab some food somewhere. We settled on Logans and they picked me up around 5. Before we even got to Logans, Vince called and was itching for a Cross Lanes trip. So we all headed down there around 7:30. I survived most of the night on $200 buy-in. But I eventually got involved in some crazy pots and lost that buy-in. I figured I might as well give it another go. I moved to another table and rebought for another $200. This was a much better table! I finally started hitting some hands. By 4:30 I cashed out for $650, so I made $150 for the night! Not bad considering. This weekend brings another tournament at the Eagles, but this one I'll be hosting. Nikki emailed me last week and said she found a place. She'll be moving all her stuff out this weekend. I'm going to try to stay out of her way. I'll keep you posted!

Aftermath
The concert Wed night did not disappoint. Of the three bands, I think Seether put on the best show. I just love their style of music. I spent most of the morning yesterday cursing BudLight draft. I had a terrible hangover. After eating a big breakfast and downing some headache pills, I started feeling better. I'm just glad I had the day off. I headed out around 2:30 to get my hair buzzed and then off to the Eagles around 5. They had a banquet they needed help with. It was good to get out of the house and they are ALWAYS appreciative of my help. My aunt made a rare appearence there. She was helping a friend celebrate her birthday. With my uncle out of town, it fell to me to make sure they both got home safe. It was funny seeing them both drink! I don't think I've ever seen my aunt that trashed!!! What a rare sight. I got them both home by 10:30 and myself by 11. Tonight brings yet another poker game - this time at the Yanoks. It is always a good time there. Nothing really planned for this weekend. Probably just try to relax and enjoy the solitude. Well, thanks for reading my random thoughts! L8R

Update
Seems like it's been forever since I've posted. In all reality it has been... I thought I might be back on here to start posting regularly. My buddy Frank and I went down to the casino Friday night. For the first few hours I really didn't catch a hand. When I would get a good hand like AK, I would get drawn out on. I lost $200 to the donkeys by 12:30 am. I took a break and ate some grub. Then I went back to the same table and rebought for another $200. I told myself I wasn't going to bet into the pot unless I had the nutz!!! Needless to say I had a few flush over flush situations that ended my session at $679 around 2:45. So I netted $279 for the night. Frank did better than I did, buy as he'll tell you, all of his AK hands held up. On the home front, I've been looking to get out of town. Three options: wait and go to Detroit with Vince and hit the casinos there, head back to Vegas in June, or slip away one of these weekends up to see some family friends in PA and them slip over to Atlantic City for a few days! Either way I see more poker playing in my future! Oh - I'm also heading to see Nickelback, Saving Abel, and Seether. I'll post pics when I get home and sober. Later!!!
